Never Rest

Words so close to pavement
His coffin paid your debt
Killed your morning habits by taking different steps
Yield that voice youre hearing the wounded have all left.
Feels so close to sidewalk, the burden that you left.
Almost dead but will you ever rest?
almost dead, but you will never rest....

Waltz and Reminisce
02:40
|

Let’s challenge all the automatic thoughts that we get.
We don’t need to use all the words out of their context
But carve your name onto my little treasure chest
Needing something simple to do we can waltz and reminisce
(free from our dull mindedness)
Rolling my eyes to the back of my head
(Rolling up cigarettes we tend to make a mess)
Clumsily stumbling to confront some old weaknesses
(That disheveled mess of clothes is somebody’s Sunday best)
We can build a big red brick wall just so they can tag some shit
(Dreamt of a new empire to throw to the eclectic wind)
Inhaling each drag straight to the creative halves of our brains
(Sucking it in as hard as you can)
Only to exhale a shit ton of these lies
(Why’d you have to let it go you could have held it in there was only one drag)
I’m about to burn that shit down I swear I’ve had mother fucker just about it all damn day
long
(you know when they smile and look back at you, you don’t ever have to wave and respond)
[ But we still do it anyway. All day long
(no one ever has to know)
Rolling my eyes to the back of my head
(Rolling up cigarettes we tend to make a mess)
Clumsily stumbling to confront some old weaknesses ( that disheveled mess of clothes is
somebody’s Sunday best
